Program Notes:

The composer was invited to compose a piano solo piece to be performed in Taiwan in 2004.   She decided to base the piece on a Taiwanese folk tune named The Cricket and the Rooster.  In the process, Cindi was very intrigued by other folk songs that she had discovered along the way.  One led to another, and the final result was a suite of four pieces called Music from Home.
