Program notes:

Autumn Tales comprises four movements that are to be performed without break for the purpose of a theatrical effect and a sense of continuation.  It begins with a quiet first movement that is followed by a contrasting second movement.  After a dramatic third movement, the fourth and  last movement introduces new lyrical melodies, and brings back elements and fragment of themes from the previous three movements.
